Steps of a still Life.

Through my view finder, the still life fruit.

Drawing on day one or two, not really sure. But the first step of my drawing, I did the little value scale on the side which pulls things together in the end.

I think this was about the third day maybe? Getting alone pretty well though.

The final product that I finished today. I'm rather happy with it, even though it doesn't look as great here since my ipod doesn't take the best of pictures. But at least I'm finished and finished in time while we still had the visual of the fruit!

Here's the envelope we made in class. It'll be holding things like sketching pencils, erasers, blending tools, and pens. I made another one that was blue and green but sort of failed on the gluing so this was the next best option.

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

This, my friend, is a welcome post. So since I'm supposed to be welcoming you, I might as well say it enough times to make up for the lack of other words that seem to be missing from my mind. But art classes have been underway in my high school and we're preparing ourselves for the bigger projects that will be coming in the near future. We'll be making art books, all hand made; we'll even be sewing or gluing them together ourselves. But in order to even think about beginning the book, we first have to make as many colorful pages as we can in the time span given to us. On those pages we'll mainly be adding drawings, either in pencil, pastel, or any other materials we can think of. This book, as well as other small [but big] projects will take us the full year to complete, so if you're still here reading this, you might as well take a seat and follow me on my quest; a quest filled with art experiences and learning prompts that will hopefully be of use to me in the future.
